Twitter began back in 2006, created by Jack Dorsey, Evan Williams and Biz Stone and is now one of the world’s fastest growing social networks with around 11 new accounts created every second – that’s over 1 million new accounts a day. It seems the world
has gone tweet crazy – on a busy day Twitter sees around 175 million Tweets from 140 million active users – 62% of whom are aged 18 to 34.
According to socialbakers.com the most impressive Twitter profile is Justin Bieber (@justinbieber) with over 37 million followers.
